JUNIPER: We are looking for a guardian home for Juniper in Salt Lake County or Utah County! She is an CKC registered fluffy American Corgi, almost 3 years old, and nearing retirement. We will only breed her one, maybe two more times, before we spay her and she is 100% yours! She knows all basic commands, some fun tricks, and is kennel and potty trained. Juniper is a fun, loving girl who is great with kids, all dogs, and especially loves cats. She is not at risk for any genetic diseases and always gets amazing comments from our vet. Apply to be her guardian home today!

What is a guardian home? By participating in our guardian home program, you get a free well bred, health tested corgi in which we at Blacktail Mountain Corgis own breeding rights to. This allows us to grow our breeding program without taking attention away from the dogs that live with us. We do not want to have an overly large amount of dogs living with us to allow our dogs to each have the time and attention they need from us in order to live fulfilling lives. We do not believe in outdoor kennels and dog runs for our breeding dogs - our dogs are family and we treat them as such.
We also like the idea of our breeding dogs living in their forever homes right from the start. As breeders, we have to face the decision to rehome our breeding dogs once they are retired from breeding. If we had it our way, we would keep every dog that ever comes into our program, but that isn't feasible. Since rehoming dogs after they are retired from breeding can be stressful and sad for both dog and owner, we want to eliminate the chances that we will have to do that to our loved corgis by placing our new breeding prospects in guardian homes. This way, they live with their forever home right from the start as puppies, and can stay with their guardian families after they are retired from breeding. |
