***If you wish to have a tail UNDOCKED, puppy has to be paid in full no later than 3 days after they're born. Please specify if you would like your pup's tail left on***
WAITLIST POLICY
OUR WAITLIST REQUIRES A DEPOSIT TO HOLD YOUR SPOT
Due to the high demand of those wishing to be placed on our waitlist and the small number of litters we will have each year, we have decided to change our waitlist policy to accommodate those who are willing to wait for one of our puppies and follow through with their decision to get a puppy from Blacktail Mountain Corgis. To do this, OUR WAITLIST IS NO LONGER FREE. We will be requiring a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $100 to hold your spot in line on our waitlist. If you decide to get a puppy from another breeder, we are not preventing you to do so, but you will NOT receive a refund. We have had an overwhelmingly large amount of applications sent in and have nearly 100 people who have submitted applications requesting to be put on the waitlist. Though we would like to fulfill everyone’s requests, it is impossible to do so with the small breeding program we have here at Blacktail Mountain Corgis, in order to keep our pups healthy and happy.
I expect some of you to drop off our waitlist, which I completely understand! These days it seems difficult to get a corgi from a breeder during a time that works for your schedule, and sometimes that means waiting until the next possible corgi is available in your area and snatching him/her up before someone else does. However, we put a lot of time and effort into our breeding program and understand that some of our waitlisters are specifically waiting for a puppy from us. Placing a deposit to hold your spot is a guaranteed way to have an accurate estimate date for when you will be able to take a puppy home from us!
You must be specific on color, coat, and gender preferences to be on our waitlist to help fulfill everyone’s requests more accurately. Also please specify if you’d like your corgi to keep his/her tail.
When filling out our puppy application, please tell me something unique about yourself in the "About Me" section, at the end! This is extremely helpful for me to remember you individually, rather than a name and a number. I like to get to know you, so the more details you send me, the better!
Once I receive your info, I will send you an email/text with my Venmo to send the waitlist deposit, and you will officially be on my paid waitlist once the deposit has been paid! If you would like a receipt, please let me know. We use Venmo records as receipts but we are happy to create a receipt for your records if you prefer. If you do not wish to join the paid waitlist, you will have to pay attention to my Facebook page for updates on any puppies not claimed by those on my paid waitlist, which would be an extremely rare occurrence.
If you have a specific dog in our program you would like a puppy from, PLEASE SPECIFY in your email response to me and I’ll be sure to make note of it on your spot in the waitlist. To add, if you would like breeding rights, you must send detailed information on your breeding program in your email to me. Everyone must also understand that those looking for breeding rights have priority over pet rights, as those few who get breeding rights will likely be looking for specific qualities to add to their program.
To go over waitlist pricing in more detail, please note that if you submit a waitlist application with your preferred coat as “Standard” you are placed on the Standard Coat waitlist. If you submit a waitlist application with your preferred coat as “Fluffy” you are placed on the Fluffy Coat Waitlist. If you chose both or “No Preference” on your application, you are placed on both the standard and fluffy coat waitlist.
To be placed on EITHER the Standard OR Fluffy Coat waitlist only, will be a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE WAITLIST FEE. Once this waitlist fee has been paid, that money guarantees your place in line on the waitlist. Once your puppy is born, a $400 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT will be required to hold your puppy that you pick to hold him/her until they are ready to go home at 8 weeks old. Both of these deposits will go into the final price of your puppy.
**SIDE NOTE** If you are wanting more than one puppy from me, depending on the number, is how many waitlist spots you will be charged for. For example, if you want 2 Standard Coat puppies or 2 Fluffy Coat puppies, your waitlist fee is $200 non-refundable. If it is 3 it is $300, etc. If you need more clarity on this subject feel free to email me or message me with questions.
**NON REFUNDABLE** Means that if you pay this fee and later decide you do not want to purchase a puppy from Blacktail Mountain Corgis, you WILL NOT receive a refund. However, you do have the freedom to go elsewhere. We ask that you just notify us of your decision so we can keep our existing waitlist current.
Waitlist deposits will be accepted through Venmo, in which I will send a receipt to your email upon request. The maximum number of spots I will be accepting on my paid list will be 30 per list, which will be a maximum of 60 spots on the paid waitlist.
